It’s been a long time coming.  The Ohio Supreme Court ruled on June 3rd in a 5-1 vote that part of the Adam Walsh Act is unconstitutional.  The decision rules against 2 provisions in the Act that was passed in Ohio in 2007, which go against the ‘separation pf powers’ doctrine of the United States Constitution.  This is very important people, that despite our political climate in 2010, that there are still people in government who have some sense, and a head on their shoulders.

“Why is this a good thing?”, you ask, “sex offenders are horrible people and should be castrated physically and shunned from society!”

Let me direct your way of thinking here, do you realize that the way the law works today that anybody and everybody is one accusation away from being listed as a sex offender.  Before the Adam Walsh act was passed the offenders classification was left up to the overseeing judge of the criminal trial, allowing them to assess a persons risk.  A kid in high school who has sex consensually with another student should not be classified as a “Sexual Predator” for the remainder of their life.  The Adam Walsh act is wrong to retroactively apply new classifications and restrictions on people, a change in sentence is not remedial – EVER – it is punitive, how many times has a law been enacted which changed a persons sentence for the better?

It’s like – going to jail, getting out because its time to get out, and then the next day, someone picks you up to say ‘You have to go to jail because you committed this crime’, serving a sentence all over again.  Is that “Just”…hardly.

Sure there are people out there with a mental illness, people who really are sick, and the statistics for recidivism scientifically explains just that.  What those statistics also show, is that there are literally thousands of people nationwide that are being added to this list and classified beyond what they deserve.

This is not about having a bleeding heart for people suffering from injustices in the law.  It’s about the foundations of equality and justice this country was built on.   It’s about ensuring that people are judged and sentenced fairly, morally, and fitting to the crime.

So this is now an issue? Are you serious.  Can any African American go through life without hearing a racial slur?  Can any ‘White’ person go through life without hearing stereotypes or the same racial remarks at some point.

No.  Plain and simple.  When you let a racial remarks hurt you, you let the person saying it – win.  What is this they said we said oh my god lets make it an issue bullshit.  How can you expect that there are not any racist people in the world?  How can you expect to walk through a group of activists and not hear something you do not like? Or something you wouldn’t want to hear for that matter?

People are angry, and the people lined up at these tea parties are not angry because this person, or that person has a different skin color.  They are angry because they know something in our Government is wrong, and by any means necessary they will strike to invoke emotional outrage.

They are trying to tell you something which you are not paying attention to, therefore they will say something which strikes a cord of familiarity.  I don’t care if a person is black or white, I don’t care about what nigger or cracker means, if you ask me, those terms can be applied to anybody regardless of skin color.  What I care about is whether our Constitution’s integrity is being taken into consideration in our law making process.

Why are ‘Conservatives’ wanting proof?  Fuck off, Just because someone yelled something that hurt, for christ’s sake get over yourselves.  Those of you who are saying shit like ‘wheres the proof’ and blah blah blah, or ‘it didnt happen’ blah blah blah – please go sit down.  Because you know damn right it happened, it happened because there are people that are racists, the majority of us know it is wrong, that it isn’t right, it doesnt mean that 1 racist out of 100 people make the other 99 racist as well.

The media is throwing this up in the air like “OMG WTF THEY SAID THE “N” WORD, OMG TELL EVERYONE SOMEONE SAID THE “N” WORD – OMG THE “N” WORD!!!!”

This is nothing new.  The hurtful word nigger is not new – it is not new – why is something which is not new being so debated over and thrown up in the media  like it is new?

People this is a lame attempt to subvert the intentions of American people petitioning the government for a redress of grievances.  This is an attempt to make fellow Americans who are participating in the democracy our founders intended, to look bad in the press.  Seriously America – Wake up.  Consider why people are at these tea parties, what are they saying?  Why – all of a sudden this huge surge of people, who were not activists before – now protesting? Does this not make any sense – do you think that they are doing it as a family outing?  Or something to do rather than take their kids to the park?  If your against people at tea parties, then your not thinking about what our Constitution grants us, it grants us this right, this power, and the responsibility to keep our government in check.  Do you not understand how complex and robust our Government is, what numerous things go on we know nothing about?  How about the current state of checks and balances – the separation of powers?  If your an American – you should be thinking about these things – it is our responsibility to stay informed, to participate in our Republic – If we do not do this – then we WILL loose it – or worse…never allow our children to see it.

You read the title of this post correctly.  I can’t help to wonder how belief systems justify that despicable and immoral behavior justifies a person in the face of a higher power.  I completely understand that justification through moral aptitude can be rightly done, and any person who falls in this category, has certain boundaries, and would in many cases respect the boundaries in others.  From whatever source that humanity sprang from we have been given a power of choice.  But when a person says my choice is led by the doctrine of a belief system, I believe that it would go against any intentions a higher power would of had.

I mean seriously here, why would a god create a species of mammals with a high amount of intelligence to make decisions for themselves and then pass on a doctrine that they believe in him or go to a horrible place?  Why not simply let the world know of his existence daily through legible and understandable communication?  Why have a book and doctrine if God actually exists?  If God is the creator of all other animals on earth, then why do they not practice religion?  Surely a good lord would be pleased with all his or her creations and allow them to praise.

Anyways, let me get to the foundation of this post, let me get to reason why I have came back here and posted to my website in which I have closed up. What could possibly bring me from my studies and my work?

If you don’t know this group, run a quick search.  These people ruin what Christianity should be, and what it could be.  They protest evil USA and about homosexuality – at funerals, and not just any funeral, but the funerals of fallen service men and women who have died in the line of duty.

Now I guess they have been doing this for some time now, why I never heard of it before is beyond me.  I know people protest about the sorts of things they protest about ‘Bad USA” and “God Hates Fags” or whatever.  But I was unaware that they would stoop to such a low level as to say “Thank God for Dead Soldiers” at their funerals.  I’ve been to church, I have read the word of God.  This is not ordained behavior in the eyes of God.  This sort of behavior is not something in which Jesus Christ would do or even condone his name in use for.

It is that type of behavior which is evil and corrupt.  When their time comes, and they stand before their lord he will laugh at them and cast them away.  I get the protests, I get the message, but there is a time and place for such things and at the mourning and laying of the dead it is not.

Sick.

I just got back from seeing the movie “Role Models” starring Seann William Scott and Paul Rudd.  The movie was pretty funny, it featured a lot of the faces from “The 40 Year-Old Virgin” and I’m guessing a lot of the writing talent as well.  The synopsis goes something like this:  Two guys who work for an energy drink company have a kind of falling out with johnny law and now have to do community service with a “Big Brothers, Big Sisters” kind of organization or face 30 days in jail.  A constant theme with the movie is constantly referring to their possible jail time as “going to prison” and “getting raped”.

Even though I have never been to either jail or prison (knock on wood), I know there are HUGE differences between the two.

Before I start, one could say that the characters in the movie probably didn’t know these differences, but Paul Rudd’s character “Danny” has dated what appears to be a prosecutor for 7 years… I not only think that he should have known, but also “Beth” would have told him after they got in trouble.

First of all, there is very little fear of getting raped in jail, this should be common sense.  Jail is a place where criminals go that are serving time for less than a year or that are awaiting trial.  Jail would suck, but I wouldn’t really live in fear since it pretty much just houses the kind of people you’d see in a scummy bar… only sober.  I have a lot of friends that have been to jail (lol), their complaints about it mainly consist of loud obnoxious retards, boredom, and… well.. being there instead of home.

Prison is the place the characters in “Role Models” keep referring to, not Jail.  In Prison you would have to deal with fears of large gay men and being shanked (stabbed to death to my nerdy friends).

Also as a bonus, one of their infractions in the movie was assault to a police officer (when they knocked that parking cop off the side of their truck).  I’m pretty sure with even being white in L.A. you would not be able to get off with JUST community service.  Assault on a police officer is not something courts take lightly.  I have a couple of friends who were being chased by a cop when they were joyriding on a 4-wheeler.  The cop knew who both of my friends were, and my idiot friends were shocked when they arrived back to see the cop at my one friend’s house.  The cop tried to clothesline them off the 4-wheeler as they sped past but instead knocked the cop on his ass in the snow.  That was assault on a police officer, even though their intend was to escape.  One of my friends got 3 days in jail, fines and probation, I think the other one was driving because I think he got something like 10 days and a ton of other stuff.

So let that be a lesson to you Hollywood, there are big differences between Jail and Prison– the two names are NOT synonymous.  Look it up.

And to you, the would-be criminal, don’t think you can try to take off in your truck as it’s being towed, knock over a cop, and destroy state property and think all you’ll have to do is hilariously-funny community service with a couple of kids, your ass will go to jail…. but at least it wouldn’t be prison, right?

In 2007, the Pirate Party started to a create state-level party in Utah, but ultimately failed due to interference from the Libertarian Party. Many of the people who had already signed the Pirate Party petition backed out in order to support the Libertarians. Though we bear no ill will, this shows the extreme difficulty the Pirate Party faces.

In 2008, the Pirate Party endorsed its first candidate, Democratic Candidate Barack Obama. Through two recall votes, Obama retained his endorsement, though the Pirate Party took specific issue with his choice of running mate, Joe Biden.

Seeking to change global legislation to facilitate the emerging information society, characterized by diversity and openness. This is done by requiring an increased respect for citizens, their privacy, and the reform of rights ownership laws.

For those who care, but don’t watch:

The good:  There’s a project in the works at the FCC to bring us all free wireless internet.  The bad and the ugly:  they want to launch it with content filtering already mandated and built in, using the porn excuse.  Much dick-hammering by free speech groups ensues.  (Arstechnica)

The free speech complaint is this:  The technology is denial of the right to broadcast content to the public.  Once that mechanism is in place and standardized to the public, they could start blocking Indymedia.us and Infoshop.org for example, with the flick of a FISA pen.  Poof gone, only paying customers (and maybe not even those) could see those sites again.

Speaking of poof gone, this next one cracks me up.  Says Chicken Little, the ex-big-telecom Commissioner of the FCC:  If the government can control how businesses provide the internet, in any way, the internet will vanish.  Corporate shill, often?  (Broadband Reports)  Is it me or does that sound more like a threat than a prediction?

And it’s a spineless, empty threat at that.  Nobody will ever take the internet away – too many people make too much money via nothing but.  It’s a backbone of international trade.  It’s not going to “go away” just because Comcast isn’t allowed to throttle speeds.

Well fuck, today…no, not today but recently, I have noticed a huge transparency in the way the internet is being run. What? ….No one runs the internet? Fuck that, someone sure does. As technology progresses, the ability to monitor EVERYTHING is more and more feasible every single day and for all we know..okay some of us do..we could already have everyday operations monitored without us knowing. Everything is set up right now, in a way, so that a person…people..organization..business…fuck, whatever you want to call ‘it’, could infact do exactly that – monitor the shit out of us. Today, it was announced that google must hand over their entire database of user generated information (think videos viewed, search terms ..etc) and hand it to A BIG FUCKING BUISNESS. Don’t get me wrong, I think google is half evil itself the way it`s set up – they can also abuse their power and they are attaining more and more power every day where it`s almost to the point it’s scary…but this? The court just handed the information over, the very court which is supposed to protect our rights – now they can see how many times I searched for videos of Janet Jacksons tit being exposed at the super bowl like 5 years ago. (that was a joke, and it was really disgusting..but I did unfortunately see it..and probably on youtube..maybe I can check the logs and see…because it is available.)

Anyway, point being is FUCK BIG BUSINESS and QUIT FUCKING MONITORING ME.

Now it’s time to think of more methods to circumvent aforementioned monitoring. I will keep you posted on any findings.

Oh PS..what really fucking shocked me is the fact that on the BBC the most viewed article in North America was about a fucking dude who had a baby – stupid fucked up people, keep the genitals you where born with – you will not get attention from me. Point being, is this HUGE peice of news, which people seem to disregard is fucking…..HUGE…and it`s being ignored for this other piece of shit human being who will inevitable produce a fucked up kid. I hope the kids first words are “fuck transvestites, internet freedom is more important”.
