Here are 3 kickass vids from Hollywood Undead – these guys are storming the waves and it’s no wonder why.   A mixture of hard lyrics, synth drums and electronic beats, with a rap

PostHeaderIcon The movie wasnt great, but The “Hackers” soundtrack is simply bomb.

<div class=\"postavatar\">the-movie-wasnt-great-but-the-hackers-soundtrack-is-simply-bomb</div>

I have many reasons why I would like to just say, that Hackers wasn’t true in almost all of it’s facets, but the motion pictures soundtrack is simply amazing.  Hackers came out in what like 1995 with Johnny Lee Miller and Angelina Jolie…Got it, you know the one where they dress all techie and redbox payphones in New York City? That’s it.  Well since the movie was off quite a bit, they delivered with the soundtack.  Now as a person that loves music in many forms I listen to this album frequently.

Packed with strong house and foundation by Prodigy, the album simply communicates creativity.  Fast and true melodies streaming with sync, the electronic push of technology towards the 21st Century and it’s effect on culture.  The music is the dividing line between reality and the movie.  Ya, “Hackers” may have not been all that great, a lot of people considered it crap, but it’s one that sparks your interest.

How does a person get interested in something?  They see something, the watch and are inspired to do something.  I was sparked by the amiga, atari, and the shite 286 sittin in a box half the size of a microwave.  The terms ‘computer’ and ‘hacking’, whoa, shit technology.  Oh this going to be fun.

How about you?

PostHeaderIcon How can this be better?

<div class=\"postavatar\">how-can-this-be-better</div>

Greetings everyone!  It has been a while since I last posted, I know I know.  I’ve been busy as a bee; gaming, working, dividing my time between school and everything else in the world it seems. Anyways let me get to the point here.

I, as well as some of the others here, want to know how can we make Flyninja.net better for you! What do you want?  For example, do you want your own blogs so we can create a wide take over the world community?  A place for you to start your own blog?  How about sections completely dedicated to certain material such as gaming, technology, and hacking?  A public forum perhaps?

Tell us!!!  Some of us are working on a new system here from scratch that will help make our lives easier, and also mae your experience here better, so letting us know what we can do to enhance that experience gives us a better goal to achieve.

Hope to hear your ideas

PostHeaderIcon Back to the Future… Has the footage of Eric Stoltz been leaked yet?

<div class=\"postavatar\">back-to-the-future-has-the-footage-of-eric-stoltz-been-leaked-yet</div>

The Back to the Future movies were some of the most iconic movies ever made.  These days, with all the blogging and the wikipedia-ing, it’s quickly becoming common knowledge that the original BTTF movie was shot about one-third through with Eric Stoltz playing Marty McFly instead of Michael J. Fox.

I lost the link for it, but I read in some interview with I think director Robert Zemeckis and screenwriter Bob Gale  that Michael J. Fox was the first choice for the roll, but was unavailable due to his ongoing roll as “Alex P. Keaton” on the Television show “Family Ties”.  Other sources say that Michael J. Fox said publicly that he would want to be in a Spielberg film, making him an option.  Either way Eric Stoltz was cast as McFly, but played the roll too seriously for a Sci-Fi/Comedy, some sources even say he “didn’t act like a teenager”.  Stoltz was fired, and after some compromises to fit filming around the “Family Ties” scheduling, Fox was able to take the roll.  Consequently, the original actress to play “Jennifer Parker”, Melora Hardin, was also fired before she even was shot in any scenes because she was notably taller than Michael J. Fox   Melora Hardin has a recurring role on “The Office” as “Jan Levinson”.  Claudia Wells was her replacement, who was then replaced by Elizabeth Shue.  Claudia Wells quit BTTF after her mother was diagnosed with cancer.

Whoa, off on a tangent!  Back to the Stoltz subject.

Bob Gale is quoted saying “…why wasn’t it included on the old DVD and why it isn’t on the new one. It’s because Eric Stoltz is a working actor. We made a mistake putting him in the movie. It’s not his fault. But seeing the footage makes him look bad, and it doesn’t make us look too good either. We don’t want to put something out there that’s gonna make someone look bad. We didn’t destroy the footage. It’s still out there and we know it has historical significance. But maybe in another 20 years we can put that out there, but we don’t want to put anything out there that’s gonna hurt somebody.

Well this is all fine and dandy, but movie footage gets leaked all the time. There’s lots of copies of films floating around on the net that either have barely hit theaters, or haven’t even made it there yet… My guesses to those is some insider leaked out a copy directly from the studio, judging by the obscured “digital watermark” that’s written on some parts of the visible videos.  What I’m wondering is how has something as nerdly coveted as The Eric Stoltz Footage from Back to the Future not been leaked on the Internet?  Is the footage under that kind of security to where nobody can get to it?  And by that logic, why is a film that’s almost 24 years old under more security than films that have just finished production and haven’t had a chance to make any money, thus ruining it’s chances of being profitable??

I’ve hunted all the usual places for a long time, now I’m calling out for help.  If anyone out there has seen a copy of the lost footage out there, share it with us.  It would be really awesome to see one of my favorite movies in a completely different light.

Until next time, you get the only worthwhile fruit of my laborious searching:

PostHeaderIcon EA plugging SecuRom and breeding Steam?

<div class=\"postavatar\">ea-plugging-securom-and-breeding-steam</div>

Would you believe it?  I recently found an article detailing how EA or Electronic Arts, a huge game publisher, is going to be offering a lot of brand new titles SecuRom free.  Which made me happy to learn, because I hate SecurROM, for obvious purposes.  Thats when I learned that they would be offering these titles under Steam, the software delivery platform made by Valve (Half-Life 2, Left for Dead).  Now don’t get me wrong I dont mind Steam that much.  But c’mon isn’t it a bit of a pain in the ass to use a delivery system clogged by updates and lagging your computer.  Jesus I remember I wanted to play HL2 once when my fucking internet was down, all  I got was a ” MY GOD STEAM DOESNT LIKE THAT SHIT” message because it couldn’t connect to the net.  Other programs get pissed when they can’t connect to the net as well…theyre called trojans.

Anyways I will not be buying Steam powered games from EA, no way.  I’ll be getting the disc’s… and breaking them of their SecuROM bonds.
