PostHeaderIcon AT&T – Unlimited Not So Unlimited

att-unlimited-not-so-unlimited

So At&T is no longer It’s bullshit – complete bullshit in order to facilitate a way to charge the end-user in the long run.

Sure go ahead and get the ‘power-user’ plan, if you think it’s really going to allow you to be one.  What shit plan name – something to make you feel good about loosing a good thing.

“Ok so, they just want to cut out the people taking advantage of the unlimited plan by tethering their PC’s”

Get real people – if your going to use an excuse like that to justify the end of the ‘unlimited’ your insane.  What’s  so different compared to getting broadband Internet?  I currently pay more for my smart phone unlimited plan than I do for my broadband access.   How does that make sense?  Phone?  Shiiiit…I could add digital phone to my service and still probably pay less every month.

If my provider (*cough” Verizon Wireless “cough*) decides to implement something like AT&T does – I will drop VERIZONS service.

I encourage everyone else to do the same with their providers when these ‘new’ plans hit the waves – its bullshit.

PostHeaderIcon Oh hai, I got an idea – lets give big buiness control over the internet.

Well fuck, today…no, not today but recently, I have noticed a huge transparency in the way the internet is being run. What? ….No one runs the internet? Fuck that, someone sure does. As technology progresses, the ability to monitor EVERYTHING is more and more feasible every single day and for all we know..okay some of us do..we could already have everyday operations monitored without us knowing. Everything is set up right now, in a way, so that a person…people..organization..business…fuck, whatever you want to call ‘it’, could infact do exactly that – monitor the shit out of us. Today, it was announced that google must hand over their entire database of user generated information (think videos viewed, search terms ..etc) and hand it to A BIG FUCKING BUISNESS. Don’t get me wrong, I think google is half evil itself the way it`s set up – they can also abuse their power and they are attaining more and more power every day where it`s almost to the point it’s scary…but this? The court just handed the information over, the very court which is supposed to protect our rights – now they can see how many times I searched for videos of Janet Jacksons tit being exposed at the super bowl like 5 years ago. (that was a joke, and it was really disgusting..but I did unfortunately see it..and probably on youtube..maybe I can check the logs and see…because it is available.)

Anyway, point being is FUCK BIG BUSINESS and QUIT FUCKING MONITORING ME.

Now it’s time to think of more methods to circumvent aforementioned monitoring. I will keep you posted on any findings.

Oh PS..what really fucking shocked me is the fact that on the BBC the most viewed article in North America was about a fucking dude who had a baby – stupid fucked up people, keep the genitals you where born with – you will not get attention from me. Point being, is this HUGE peice of news, which people seem to disregard is fucking…..HUGE…and it`s being ignored for this other piece of shit human being who will inevitable produce a fucked up kid. I hope the kids first words are “fuck transvestites, internet freedom is more important”.

Have a good day, I am not.

The internet is home to a staggering amount of information, a colossal number both in terms of diversity and physical number of different categories covered. Think of a giant, virtual library, with websites from each different section of the library, and search engines as the ever faithful librarian. When you use a search engine, whichever it may be, the process on our part is rather simple, and this simplicity belies the complex algorithms involved.

Whatever you enter into the search engine bar, the search engine makes use of a series of web crawling programs called spiders that will search through the databases looking for any and all relevant matches for your “question”, that is, the value you have entered. These results are then displayed, and you will notice that they are returned in order, with (for some curious reason) a few lines of text, with certain words, or phrases emboldened (in solid black). The returned values from the search engine, that contain these words/phrases embolden will match either fully or partially the value you entered into the search engine. What this means therefore, is that the user can see at a glance the websites that are most relevant (or most likely to be) and choose them accordingly.

All of this fine…but one crucial question remains. How does the search engine determine this list, and what is deemed to be the “most relevant site”? SEO: search engine optimization is the means used to optimize the efficiency of a site, so that the ranking it has on a search engine is higher, thereby meaning that more people will be likely to visit it. Typically, the more popular a site, then the greater number of sales, and or increased advertising revenue.

Traffic in the context of the internet means very simply the number of visitors to any given website. Even if your site is not sales based, or you don’t make use of advertising, your webpage is still valued (should you ever choose to sell it) based on several factors key of which is the amount of traffic you get be it daily/weekly/monthly.

So….how to actually lure people to your site? Well, given the astronomical numbers of websites on the internet, you are facing some pretty stiff competition, if you want to get an increased level traffic. As with most if not all of the internet sub-culture, there are two very broad categories in relation to SEO:

-blackhat

-whitehat.
