Humanity Fails – Humanity Flails
Humanity is Lost.
There is no religious belief which can set us on the right path.
Neither Judaism, nor Islam have what it takes to bring humanity from the darkness.
Do you think we live in an enlightened world?
You would be wrong in that assumption.
Understand that I am like you.
My blood is red, just like yours.
I am a creature of the Earth, just like you.
Yet unlike those of you who put your faith in religion.
I mistakenly put my faith into mankind.
We have nobody but ourselves to fight with.
Which is the only legitimate answer to why we fight with each other in the first place.
Some people and business’ make so much money, that it makes no sense to have that much at all.
We strive to live in a world where the only currency is the one that benefits an individual only.
Whats wrong with a civilization which thrives off the progress and enrichment of humanity?
Right now, we could not represent ourselves as a worldwide race of sentient beings.
Because the majority of people are not capable of seeing past simple differences.
Religion, Racism, and Sexism shows just how weak the human species is.
We are fully capable of accomplishing great feats of unimaginable ingenuity
Yet religion, racism and sexism keep us in a state of separate primitive societies.
Always fighting with each other.
An estimated 7 billion people on Earth yet we still allow people to starve.
We still allow people to be uneducated.
We fight wars with each other, kill each other, over something we call god.
The majority of us lack any regard for the planet which bears us with life.
We are passionate, as humans, about a wide array of different things.
But when, as a whole, will we ever be passionate about humanity.
About progressing our species.
We always talk about providing better for our children and beyond.
Why is that only a dream?
As a child of people who wanted such things, I see nothing of the world being better, or safer.
I once learned a lesson from a life simulation of evolution.
It was easy to be a predator. It was easy to conquer.
There was always one constant – regardless of the path you chose.
It was either kill or be killed.
Human kind is beyond conquering planet Earth.
We only have ourselves to fight with.
And while we fight with ourselves, we will ultimately destroy ourselves in the process.
Though it may not all be a loss
For I am a human for humanity.
The shame of Christian Belief
You read the title of this post correctly. I can’t help to wonder how belief systems justify that despicable and immoral behavior justifies a person in the face of a higher power. I completely understand that justification through moral aptitude can be rightly done, and any person who falls in this category, has certain boundaries, and would in many cases respect the boundaries in others. From whatever source that humanity sprang from we have been given a power of choice. But when a person says my choice is led by the doctrine of a belief system, I believe that it would go against any intentions a higher power would of had.
I mean seriously here, why would a god create a species of mammals with a high amount of intelligence to make decisions for themselves and then pass on a doctrine that they believe in him or go to a horrible place? Why not simply let the world know of his existence daily through legible and understandable communication? Why have a book and doctrine if God actually exists? If God is the creator of all other animals on earth, then why do they not practice religion? Surely a good lord would be pleased with all his or her creations and allow them to praise.
Anyways, let me get to the foundation of this post, let me get to reason why I have came back here and posted to my website in which I have closed up. What could possibly bring me from my studies and my work?
Fred Phelps, his wife, and the Westboro Baptist Church.
If you don’t know this group, run a quick search. These people ruin what Christianity should be, and what it could be. They protest evil USA and about homosexuality – at funerals, and not just any funeral, but the funerals of fallen service men and women who have died in the line of duty.
Now I guess they have been doing this for some time now, why I never heard of it before is beyond me. I know people protest about the sorts of things they protest about ‘Bad USA” and “God Hates Fags” or whatever. But I was unaware that they would stoop to such a low level as to say “Thank God for Dead Soldiers” at their funerals. I’ve been to church, I have read the word of God. This is not ordained behavior in the eyes of God. This sort of behavior is not something in which Jesus Christ would do or even condone his name in use for.
It is that type of behavior which is evil and corrupt. When their time comes, and they stand before their lord he will laugh at them and cast them away. I get the protests, I get the message, but there is a time and place for such things and at the mourning and laying of the dead it is not.
Sick.
Living in Cyberspace
When is the apparent signal of crossing the threshold between real and virtual reality? And not virtual reality as we see in the movies or thats being developed for gaming and simulations (you know with the headsets etc…). I’m talking about the virtual reality of the mind, the part that encapsulates us humans into the entire computer universe. People live on computers, sitting in front of a screen in either melancholy or eager bliss. Is it boredom the ensues this behavior? We face a revolution of human generation that is connected to technology in more than a physical sense. The connection to the world at the click of a button enables humans to interact and insinuate relationships with each other on such a wide scale that reality in the physical sense is diminished slightly. This is not to say that the human species will fall into de-evolution with the advent of a non-socializing structure in civilization, but merely to suggest that the connections between humans and computers becomes ever more closer to one another.
I sit at my computer daily, I live off it, I eat at it sometimes, I’ve spilled soda on my keyboard, but is it a requirement to my survival as a human? No. Is it conflicting with my ability as a person to socialize in a normal fashion with my peers in a ‘face-to-face’ situation? No. Yet has it interfered with my life in such a way as to being, not ridiculed but, instilled with the feeling of guilt? Yes. It is still a confusing relationship to those humans that prefer to live in the outer realms of civilization and communication. Those who don’t understand the relationship tend to view it with contempt, and stick with a more ‘primitive’ medium of social structure. If I had a choice, and could only pick one, between going out and drinking with my buddies, or chilling at home on my computer, which do you think I would pick? My computer. Only because it seems that over the last few years the whole aspect of going out and getting trashed has slowly perspired out of my system, and some other reasons, would I make that choice.
Something that has recently attached itself to my train of thought, is the aspect of Cyber-Spirituality. The whole god through technology is surely a perspective and prospering approach to understanding how and why humans are so comfortably attached to computers. I remember hearing the word ‘computer’ for the first time as a young boy, and actually knowing what it was, without any prior instruction to what it was. My child knows what one is already in a sense, she’s 5 months old, and will slap the keys and then look at the screen. Finding spirituality through technology will surely be a ‘tuning’ contribution to living in cyberspace. Religion as it is, has always been a fundamental part of humans. So as we prevail in the evolution of technology, spirituality will follow with us, as it has since we crawled out of the gene pool.
So to conclude this entry I’d like to add that; as a witness to this prospering level of behavior, I can honestly say that there is no apparent signal to crossing that threshold that diversifies our daily lives with the computer. It just happens.
